About

Most young adults are told they need experience before anyone will take them seriously, but very few are actually taught how to position themselves, build credibility, or access opportunities when they’re just starting out. This short course is designed to bridge that gap. “Getting Opportunities Without Experience” helps young adults understand how to stand out, present themselves professionally, and navigate the early stages of the working world with greater clarity and practical understanding. The course focuses on real-world positioning, professional presentation, workplace expectations, and how to become more opportunity-ready despite having limited experience. Participants will learn how to strengthen their CVs and applications, understand what employers and professionals often look for, and explore practical ways to appear more capable, proactive, and credible early in their career journey. The course also includes a live interactive session with the programme facilitator focused on workplace readiness, professional expectations, and navigating opportunities in the working world. Topics covered include: -How to look capable even if you’re inexperienced -How to reach out professionally and build connections -How to create a stronger CV with limited experience -How to present yourself confidently in interviews This programme is designed for young adults aged 18–24 who want practical, real-world guidance before or during their early career journey. The goal is to help participants become more prepared, credible, and opportunity-ready as they navigate the transition into the working world.
